Zachry Holdings Inc, a private firm, has begun the process of accepting applications for the building of Florida Power & Light Company’s new power plant which will be located in Rivera Beach, Florida.  The company is looking to hire individuals with experience in craft positions such as dirt equipment operators, carpenters, concrete finishers, and reinforced-iron workers.  These jobs start out at $10 an hour for laborers but there are other positions such as foremen that can make $26 an hour.

The construction site of the new plant will eventually employ 650 workers at its peak .  The new natural gas-power plant is expected to begin construction in January 2012 and is planned for completion in November.
