Northwest Michigan Works Professional Job Fair on February 2

Recent graduates are other job seekers who have a Bachelor’s degree should take part in an upcoming job fair which is taking place on Thursday, February 2 in Lansing, Michigan.  A Professional Job Fair has been organized by the Traverse City Michigan Works Office and will be happening from 10am to 1pm.

Job seekers will have an opportunity to submit resumes for job openings in production, engineering, sales, operations, managing, and more.  Many of the jobs require some sort of education particularly a Bachelor’s degree.

Workforce Connection Belvidere Career Expo & Job Fair on February 2

Job seekers in Belvidere, Illinois can look forward to a job fair on Thursday, February 2.  The job fair will be held at the Community Building Complex of Boone County located at 111 West First Street.  It is organized by The Workforce Connection and will include 35 exhibitors.  Out of the 35 exhibitors 23 of them are employers that have real jobs to offer and will be actively recruiting workers.  Candidates interested in attending this job fair need to arrive between the hours of 12pm and 4pm.

Chrysler is on a hiring spree and recently announced plans to add 1,600 jobs at their assembly plant in Illinois.  They are expanding a 3rd shift at the Illinois plant and the additional hiring will be used to staff the shift.  The plant will be producing the Dodge Dart including the Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot.  The recruitment process for the additional workers is currently underway while the actual beginning date for the new hires will be in July 2012.

Duke Energy Job Fair in Winston-Salem on January 31

Duke Energy in Winston Salem, North Carolina is having a job fair on Tuesday, January 31 at Forsyth Technical Community College.  The job fair is from 10am to 2pm for anyone interested in their current job openings for apprentice line service workers.  Those who plan to attend the event will have an opportunity to hear from company officials about their apprenticeship program and how individuals can get started in it.
